Refrigerator Technician Killed in Akure While Fighting Off Armed Robbers
A 47-year-old refrigerator repairer, Idris Abiodun Clement, was shot dead in Akure, Ondo State, after confronting a four-man armed robbery gang that invaded his family compound.
According to reports, the robbers had earlier attacked two neighbouring houses before entering Clement’s home. The father of five reportedly summoned courage and engaged them in a physical struggle.
During the confrontation, he was allegedly attacked with axes and cutlasses before one of the gunmen shot him at close range.
Clement leaves behind a wife and five children.
