I’ve Been Married To One Woman For 48 Years, It’s Boring’ — Charly Boy
Maverick entertainer Charly Boy has opened up about life after spending 48 years with the same woman, jokingly describing his marriage as “boring.”
Speaking in an interview on Yanga FM, he said many people have unrealistic expectations about marriage, noting that every relationship comes with its own challenges and requires patience and commitment to survive.
Using a lighthearted analogy, Charly Boy compared being married to one person for decades to eating the same meal repeatedly.
“I’ve been married to one woman for 48 years. It is very boring. Imagine eating the same egusi for years, it’s boring now.”
The veteran entertainer, however, stressed that frequent disagreements should not be seen as a sign of failure in a marriage. According to him, he and his wife still argue regularly despite being together for nearly five decades.
“All marriages are management, including my own. Me and my wife be like Tom and Jerry. We dey quarrel every day and we will continue to dey quarrel and settle am.”
He maintained that conflict is a natural part of married life, adding that what matters most is the ability of couples to resolve their differences and move forward together.
