Tragedy Strikes Lagos: Soldiers Feared Dead After Suspected Yahoo Boys’ Vehicle Rams Into Morning Drill

 

 

A devastating incident occurred at the Myoung Barracks in Yaba, Lagos, on Friday morning, leaving an unconfirmed number of soldiers feared dead. According to eyewitnesses, a vehicle driven by suspected Yahoo Boys (internet fraudsters) crashed into the soldiers during their morning physical training.

 

 

The incident has thrown the military community into panic, with one soldier recounting, “There’s blood everywhere. I was spared because I was at the back”. The vehicle, carrying three young men, plowed into the troops near the Myoung Barracks Army Sports Camp, causing chaos.

 

 

One of the suspects fled the scene, while the other two were caught, beaten unconscious, and their vehicle vandalized. The Lagos State Police Command and the Nigerian Army have yet to issue official statements regarding the incident.

 

 

The tragedy has sparked widespread outrage and concern, with many calling for swift action to be taken against the perpetrators. As the investigation unfolds, the nation mourns the loss of life and prays for the speedy recovery of those injured.
