New President of Rotary Club of Olambe Sworn In: Vows to Bring Greater Hope.

Rotary Club of Olambe inducts new President for 2023-2024: Rotarian Engr. Abiodun Ojo James (PHF) as he Vows to Bring Hope.

Speaking during the investiture ceremony in his acceptance speech at the event that took place at the prestigious Academy Guest House Agindingbi, Ikeja Lagos on the 4th November 2023, the new Hope President Rotarian Engr. Abiodun Ojo James revealed that his acronym as the President of Hope was in line with the declaration of the 2023/24 World Rotary President, Gordon Mcinally who themed the 2023/24 Rotarian Year as Create Hope In The World.

He stated further that the goal of the year’s theme was to help heal the world destructive conflicts towards achieving lasting change.

Outlining his vision for the Lambe Rotary Club, Rotarian Engr. Abiodun Ojo James emphasized on the need for peace and continuity which will enable his vision of empowering women, working towards diversity, equity, equality and all inclusiveness. He also declared his determination to work with relevant government agencies, communities and other non governmental organizations to end polio.

In her valedictory speech, the immediate past President of the Olambe Rotary Club, Rotarian Pennyon Bello thanked members for deeming her worthy to serve. She stated that the success recorded during her tenure was due to the cooperation she got from members at the District and State Levels.

Enumerating her achievements in the out gone Rotarian Year, she listed the tree planting exercise in conjunction with the Baby Club, Rotaract Club of Iju Ishaga and Olambe, the participation of the Olambe at the District Imaginative Funfair, The organising of Peace Building and Conflict Resolution Seminal and the Fencing of Legun Community Primary School which she termed the star project just mention a few.

Present at the event were members of Oyemekun Grammar School Old Boys Association who came to support the new President, Rotarian Engr Abiodun Ojo: Executive Chief Mrs. Ogboniyi who was Mother Of The Day, Rotarian Niyi Ajao, Alhaji Abidakun Yusuf, Mrs. Adeshola Afuape who represented her husband Mr Taiwo Afuape and the Guest Speaker Dr. Omotayo Ajirotutu, Father of The Day, Engr. Olu Ogunduyile and High Chief Rufai who was Royal Father of The Day and the Mother of The Day, Mrs. Ajirotutu.
