Chinmaya Foundation, an International People’s Enhancement Organization for peace & harmony, is constantly striving to bring out the hidden talent in art, literature, culture etc. of rural areas.

In this context, an online Thursday Jhoti competition for mothers has been started by the foundation. In the last Three Thursdays, 2772 mothers have sent their Thursday Jhoti pictures to the foundation’s WhatsApp numbers (+91) 9938810539 and 8328876038. Earlier, Rahas Purnima Muruja Competition was held in which more than three thousand contestants participated. These Muruj and Jhoti paintings will be judged by leading painters and judges from 10 different countries including India.

Judges from the country including Emmanuel Timadi K, Editor-in-Chief of The Streetwise News Nigeria and Chinmaya Foundation’s Nigeria Coordinator Miss. Akinleye-Babs, Editor of The Finder Newspaper of Kenya Mr. David Gachuhi, Managing Director of the Tanzania Diramakini News Mr. Godfrey Ismaely, Chairman of Surveillance Newspaper of Nigeria Mr. Mondy Wheir, International Artist of India Mr. Keshu Das along with others are cooperated to conducting this program.

The first ten people of Jhoti and Muruj categories will be given international level Certificates by the Chinmaya Foundation and the mothers who want to participate can send their photos of the time of throwing Jhotis to the above WhatsApp number on the following Thursdays said the founder chairperson Mr. Chinmaya Dash.
