CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST ANNOUNCES THE FUNERAL ARRANGEMENT FOR ITS LATE MUSIC DIRECTOR, AVSA ADETIRAN OLADEJO OLUWOLE
The Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide recently lost one of its iconic leaders, Member of The Pastor Council, the highest policy making body of CCC Worldwide and the Director of Music Worldwide AVSE Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran.
To announce the glorious home calling event of a notable iconic musical director, The Celestial Church of Christ held a press conference where the Church made public the sequence of events that will herald the funeral service of the Late AVSE Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran.
Addressing the press, Apostle Kayode Ajala revealed that the CCC Worldwide was holding the press conference because AVSE Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran was not just an ordinary member of the Celestial Church but was an exceptional leader of the church who contributed immensely to the growth and progress of the CCC Worldwide. He was a man who left indelible footsteps in the sand of time and recorded many firsts not only within the Celestial Church but also in his Academic calling.
AVSE Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran, born into the Obaloja Compound of Igbajo Town in today’s Osun State, young Oluwole started his educational journey at Baptist Day School Igbajo before later proceeding to Ibadan where he was set on the part of musical career when he learnt how to play the guitar from a Nigerian Gold Coast returnee Mr. Dapo Taiwo and became a much sought after guitarist and a Cathedral Organist in 1965.
AVSE Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran, became a member of the Celestial Church of Christ when he joined the Barrack Road Parish of the church at Mokola Ibadan under the shepherdship of Late MSE Moses Obasa in the early 70s.
To further his education, AVSE Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran proceeded to the Baptist Teacher Training College where his musical talent saw him become the College Social Prefect and Choir Director. To horn his musical talent, Adetiran attended University of Nigeria, Nsukka and later went to the University of Ibadan where he majored in Musicology. For his National Youth Service, Adetiran was posted to The Polytechnic Ibadan where as a serving Corps member he composed the ever green NYSC Anthem that is still in use today. After his service year, Adetiran was retained at the Polytechnic Ibadan as an Assistant Lecturer where he lectured for thirty years. His academic brilliance soon saw him rise to the position of a Chief Lecturer which is equivalent to a professorial cadre in the University setting.
It is on record that it was AVSE Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran who founded the FIRST Department of Music Technology at The Ibadan Polytechnic and headed it for eleven years. A man of many firsts, was the first Lecturer at the Music Technology Department of the institution. He was also the first lecturer from the department to become the Dean of Faculty, covering eight departments in The Ibadan Polytechnic
AVSE Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran left the Polytechnic Ibadan after thirty meritorious years of service to the institution.
He later became the founding Rector of the Celestial Church of Christ Academy of Music and Music Technology which was the first monotechnic in Nigeria in 2010. He was also the Music Director of the CCC Worldwide and member Pastors In Council, the highest Policies making Organ of the church. A proud holder of the National Honor of (MON) Member Order of The Niger, AVSE Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran is also a JP, haven paid his religious pilgrimage to Jerusalem?
Among his many positions in the CCC Worldwide, he was a part of the CCC Hymns Technical Review Council from May 2009 to November 2019 which produced the New Revised Standard Edition of the CCC Hymn Book launched on the 25th December, 2019 at Imeko Celestial City Ogun State. He was also the coordinator of the largest single Choir that featured at the annual Luli Concert.
Through AVSE Oluwole Adetiran, several music stars in Nigeria and overseas have been discovered, nutured, trained and promoted. Amongst these are Rotimi Olaosebikan, Sola Allyson Obaniyi, Samson Adekanbi and several others.
Until his demise, he was the music director of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide and the Founding Rector of the C.C.C. Academy Music Technology, Lagos, Nigeria.
In his life time, AVSE Oluwole Adetiran co-ordinated the largest single choir that featured the annual luli concert.
In all that pass off, when the AVSE Adetiran was alive, he remained steadfast in the call of service and commitment to God Almighty until he was called on to higher glory on May 7th, 2022 leaving behind a wife, children and grandchildren.
According to the Church, the chain of events to mark the Glorious Home Calling of AVSE Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran will commence with a Symposium at Olukanbe Odunbaku Street Oremeji, Bus Stop, Ibafo Ogun State on Saturday 20th of August, 2022. This will be followed by a Road Show on Sunday August 21st , 2022 with the Meeting Point at Central Choir Parish 14 Olukanbu Odunbaku Street Oremeji Ibafo.
Monday August 22nd, 2022 will be the day for the Service of Songs at CCC Mokola, Ibadan
Tuesday 23rd August, 2022 will be the Commendation Service at The Polytechnic Ibadan.
There will be An Interdenominational Music Concert on Wednesday 24th of August at the Blue Roof (LTV 8) Lateef Jakande Road Agidingbi, Lagos.
On Thursday 25th August, 2022: The wake Keep Service will hold at his Residence Imeko Celestial City Ogun State by 4pm to 6pm.
Friday 26th August will be the lying in state at his residence which will be followed by the Funeral Service before the interment, which follows immediately.
The Reception as announced by the Church will take place at the Conference Center, Celestial City, Imeko Ogun on the same date.
The sequence of events will be rounded off with a Thanksgiving Service at the CCC International Headquarters Ketu Lagos.
Personalities expected to be in attendance includes members of the Church in Diaspora from South Africa, UK, America Europe and Ghana.
As a Holder of MON, the Federal Government has written the family, recognizing his contributions especially the NYCS, indicating the FG intended presence at the funeral. The NYSC will also be a part of the funeral as well as the Ministry of Youths and Sports Minister, Honourable Sunday Dare. He has also been a part of the arrangement and will be in attendance.
Lastly, AVSE Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran was survived by Mathew Olumide Adetiran, (Son) Solomon Ayokunmi Adetiran, (Son) Dorcas Tolulope Adetiran, (wife) and many relatives.
