ALIMOSHO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY HOLDS STRATEGIC STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING AHEAD OF UPCOMING PARTY PRIMARIES
A strategic stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Alimosho Federal Constituency was held yesterday, bringing together key political leaders, council chairmen, Alimosho G-18 leadership, and party stakeholders to review preparations ahead of the House of Representatives primaries scheduled for today.
The meeting gave special recognition to Her Excellency, Hon. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, who was ably represented by Hon. Akin Bash, in acknowledgment of her continued contributions and support to the growth and stability of the party in the constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Prince Bisi Yusuf emphasized unity, discipline, and strict coordination among party structures as the primaries approach. He formally introduced all candidates and charged stakeholders to ensure a peaceful and well-organized exercise across all wards.
Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Babatunde Aboyade stressed the need for adequate information dissemination and thorough preparedness. He described the engagement as a strategic platform to ensure smooth conduct of the primaries, urging stakeholders to ensure that all voting centres are properly managed and that peace is maintained throughout the process.
In his remarks, Alhaji Akibu Saliu Sanjay called on all party stakeholders to rally round the party candidates for maximum victory. He urged members to take full charge of their respective wards, ensure proper coordination, and work collectively to secure success for the party at the polls.
Hon. Akin Bash, representing Her Excellency, Hon. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, urged that all hands must be on deck, while calling on all party stakeholders to rally round the party candidates.
Hon. Agbaje provided a breakdown of the participating wards, which include Ward C1, Ward C2, Ward D, Ward E1, Ward E2, Ward F, Ward G North, Ward G South, Ward H, Ward M1, and Ward M2 (Abule Egba), noting that the collation centre would be located at Alimosho Local Government Secretariat.
It was also agreed that each ward would have designated polling agents supported by coordinating agents to ensure proper supervision, transparency, and effective collation of results across all centres. All results are to be submitted to Barrister Rotimi Ogunwuyi.
The meeting further recommended the establishment of a dedicated security committee to ensure peace, order, and safety throughout the electoral process.
The meeting, which was led by Hon. Prince Bisi Yusuf, had in attendance the Council Chairmen across Alimosho Federal Constituency, including Mayor Akinpelu Johnson of Alimosho Local Government; Hon. Adunni Akindele of Mosan-Okunola; Hon. Agbaje of Ayobo/Ipaja; Hon. Ejibadero of Agbado/Oke-Odo; Comrade Akinsanya of Igando/Ikotun; and Alhaji Akibu Saliu Sanjay of Egbe/Idimu LCDA. Also present were Hon. Akin Bash, leaders of the G-18, Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba ( Mayor KK), Hon. Kehinde Olaide Joseph(KJ), Hon. Kunle Sanyaolu Olowoopejo, prominent party elders, and other key stakeholders.
The meeting ended on a note of unity and resolve, with participants expressing confidence in a peaceful, well-coordinated, and successful primary election exercise across Alimosho Federal Constituency.
