Umeadi Celebrates Amuwo Odofin Workers, Pledges Robust Pro-Labour Representation in 2027
Leading aspirant for the Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general election under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Engr. Azubuike Emmanuel Umeadi, has felicitated with Nigerian workers, particularly residents and workers across Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, as the nation marked the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration.
Umeadi, who enjoys growing support from a coalition of opposition political parties within the constituency, used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to people-centered representation and legislative interventions that would directly improve workers’ welfare and economic wellbeing.
In a statement issued by the Media Directorate of the Azubuike Emmanuel Umeadi Campaign Organization, the frontline aspirant described workers as the backbone of national development, applauding their resilience, sacrifices, and contributions to sustaining the nation’s economy despite prevailing socio-economic challenges.
He commended workers across both formal and informal sectors for their dedication to service, productivity, and nation-building, stressing that the progress of any society depends largely on the dignity, welfare, and empowerment of its workforce.
“Today, we celebrate the men and women whose daily efforts keep Amuwo Odofin moving forward. Your labour, sacrifices, and commitment deserve not just commendation but practical legislative protection and deliberate policies that improve your welfare,” Umeadi stated.
The ADC aspirant assured constituents that if elected in 2027, he would champion legislation focused on job creation, entrepreneurship development, youth empowerment, fair labour practices, and sustainable economic opportunities.
He also pledged to prioritize skills acquisition programmes, small business support initiatives, infrastructure development, and policy frameworks aimed at improving the living standards of residents.
Calling for unity and hope among workers and residents, Umeadi said responsive leadership and inclusive governance remain essential to building a prosperous Amuwo Odofin.
He added that his vision is to create a constituency where hard work is adequately rewarded and governance reflects the genuine aspirations of the people.
