The coronation, officially approved by Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON), marks the culmination of due traditional rites and administrative procedures, underscoring the state government’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage and ensuring due process.
Prince Odelola described the emergence of Oba Yekini as a defining moment for the Ora Kingdom, noting that the ascension of the monarch ushers in a new chapter of unity, peace, and sustainable development for the community.
“As a proud son of the soil and custodian of our rich traditions, I am confident that Kabiyesi will lead with wisdom, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility. His reign will undoubtedly strengthen collaboration between traditional institutions and government for grassroots advancement,” he stated.
He further commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his consistent support for traditional institutions across the state, highlighting the importance of such partnerships in fostering social cohesion and effective local governance.
