APC Stakeholders Hail Emergence of Prince Hafeez Abiodun Tunde Elebute as Amuwo Chairman
Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Amuwo Odofin LGA have applauded the emergence of Prince Hafeez Abiodun Tunde Elebute as the new party chairman in the area, describing his election as a major step toward strengthening grassroots unity and strategic political coordination ahead of future elections.
In a statement issued by Amb. Kingsley Enwelim Nwanze, a chieftain of the party in Amuwo Odofin, party leaders praised the conduct of the ward and local government congresses, noting that the process was peaceful, transparent, and widely accepted by members.
The statement particularly commended Distinguished Senator Musiliu Obanikoro for his leadership role in guiding the exercise. According to the stakeholders, his experience as a former Local Government Chairman, Senator, Minister of State for Defence, and diplomat contributed significantly to ensuring that the transition produced a unified executive structure devoid of rancour.
Other party leaders acknowledged for their roles include Hon Olukolu, Alhaja Memunat Ajao, Alhaji Lawal, Hon Ayodele Adewale, Hon Ramotalai Hassan, Hon. Dipo Olorunrinu, Hon. Gbenga Oyerinde, Hon. Mojisola Macaulay, and other leaders, whose consultations and consensus-building efforts were described as instrumental to the credibility of the process.
The statement also highlighted the contributions of the Executive Chairmen of Amuwo Odofin LGA, Prince Lanre Sanusi, and Hon Rasaq Akorede Olojede of Oriade LCDA for working closely with elders and stakeholders to produce what was termed a “formidable and forward-looking executive team.”
Observers within the party say the successful formation of the new leadership signals renewed strength and readiness as political activities gradually build toward the 2027 general elections. They expressed confidence that the unity displayed during the congresses would translate into electoral victories for the party at presidential, gubernatorial, federal constituency, and state assembly levels.
The statement concluded that party faithful in Amuwo Federal Constituency remain committed to mobilization, grassroots engagement, and organizational discipline, affirming that the structure now in place is positioned to deliver decisive wins across all tiers of the electoral process.
